I believe that change...

  • happens when you feel supported
  • is sustainable when you choose it for yourself
  • can be stressful, even if it’s positive change

My Approach

I approach counseling from an existential perspective, which considers anxiety a normal response to uncertainty, conflict, and loss, and views such challenges through the lens of personal agency, self-awareness, and situational limits. I use an integrated approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused brief therapy, lifestyle and self-care practices, and mindfulness-based techniques. I see individual adult clients of all backgrounds.

While I am a queer woman, I am cis and white, so I strive to provide a safe and affirming space while being mindful of intersectionality and my privilege in the therapeutic space. I do my best to be LGBTQIA-affirming; BIPOC-affirming; sex, kink, and consensual non-monogamy positive; fat positive; and welcoming to folks across the (dis)ability spectrum.

My Inspiration

My grandmother didn’t wear expensive brand names or keep up with trends, yet she always looked elegant and put together. She took mass made, store bought clothes and altered them to her precise measurements. All of her clothes fit her perfectly.

She understood when things fit, it works.

This practice of crafting something one of a kind, something custom made and responsive to your ever-changing needs, is the foundation of Bespoke Counseling. “Rightness of fit” is a term used by therapists to describe how well a therapist’s personality, experience, approach, and availability matches specific clients’ needs.

You deserve counseling that fits your life and is guided by your feelings and preferences.

You deserve counseling as unique as you.
